Hello again iiwiiers
The new archbishop of Westminster, Vince Nichols has said that religion still has a vital role in society - by uniting communities in Britain! How ridiculous - he could have picked several other ways in which he could have better argued that it could do some good, but uniting communities in Britain? It depends on what you define as a 'community', I suppose. If you think that uniting communities against other communities counts then yeah, great, nice one Vince, well done, some of us however are a bit more picky about what we class as 'vital'. Vince admits to being blessed with the "gift of the gab". Or you may wish

Yet again today I'm much better but far from better. The weather is helping some - I had a nice long walk today, partly on purpose. I'm not a fan of hot, but I don't mind warm, and with me having this cold (have I mentioned that I have a cold? Possibly) it's just the thing.
Oh, I forgot to say that Charlie Brooker's Newswipe on BBC4 was very good again this week - excellent in fact. Probably better than the first one. Check it out while you still can on the BBC's iPlayer if you're in the UK, or by more nefarious means if you're not.
that's all from me for now
see you around
