Good news Christians - I'm going to have a go at the Jews for once! Well, a Jew. It's near enough, innit? The Chief Rabbi (I assume he's a Jew, if he's not, well, he must have done well at the interview, eh?) Lord Sacks has said that Europe is having a population crisis! Yes, not enough kids! And you all thought there was too many people and that's why the planet was messing up bigtime, well, you were wrong. There's not enough of us! And do you know why? It's because of secular writers, like me, attacking religion! "Wherever you turn today - Jewish, Christian or Muslim - the more religious the community, the larger on average are their families. the major assault on religion today comes from the neo-Darwinians." You'd almost think he was on our side! But he's not, he's actually saying that's a bad thing. Just not very well.

Because doing that would require massive sacrifices, you see. Money, time, attention, emotional energy. By that token it would be equally selfish not to devote your life to stalking Lord Sacks. I have one child, then I had a vasectomy, Lord Sacks presumably thinks this is disgusting and selfish and I should be shot or something. I was tempted to say 'gassed' instead of 'shot' there, as I am a Jew and therefore I'm allowed, but it wouldn't have been funny enough. What a waste of being a Jew. He was knighted for services to interfaith relations, apparently. Presumably for promoting the joint working of all believers in all things to gang up on all the evil non-believers, Tony Blair style. I thought rabbis were supposed to be sort of wise men - how did this idiot get to the top? I'd be a better Chief Rabbi than him. So - bless you my children - is that what Rabbis say?
