Hello again iiwiiers
As an atheist I wish to thank Tony Blair for all the great work he's been doing for our cause. He's responsible for lots of deaths, but this redeems him just a little. First he became an official Catholic to discredit Catholicism, and now he's broadening it out to try and associate politicians who involve their faith in their political decisions forever in our minds with people who think it's good to kill lots of people based on their personal beliefs about a non-existent supernatural entity. In a way I feel sorry for 'people of faith' who don't think that it's okay to kill people if you think that god told you to do it, to have an extremist like that tainting the image of faith in general, even though theirs is less malign, but you've got to admire the way he seems to have everyone fooled, not like in the war. I bet even now some of you reading this still believe he's sincere, so do you think he's an idiot then? For only an idiot would think that that he would be great at making the case for faith-led political decision-making with his track record.
Well it was the finale of Torchwood series 2 tonight, not bad, not bad at all, it didn't blow my mind but it wasn't really disappointing or an anticlimax, and most importantly it wasn't 'fuck me, that was shit.' Let's hope the new series of Doctor Who which starts tonight (Saturday) manages the same thing, although the signs aren't great. Let's not concern ourselves with that until it happens though, I'm not one to let a weak ending spoil my enjoyment of something.
See you around
