Hello again iiwiiers
Well the hard drive recovered to a good extent. But not good enough. So I decided to buy a new one. And I've lost my credit card, ha ha! It'll be around somewhere, not stolen. So anyway I rung up like you do. Anyway, luckily and unusually I had enough real money to buy one without leaving myself too short, and got a 500GB one for ninety quid. That's about the capacity of all my other ones put together, and cheaper than either of the two external ones. If you're wondering what I need all the space for, I use them to store your souls. Although they take up a lot of room it's not that much room when you think about it really. There's a decent size PC World and Currys near me, foolishly less than a minute's walk apart, so it's all too easy to look in one and go 'hmmm' and then go look in the other one and go 'hmmm' and then buy from the better one. Where in the world did I get it from? Currys. It's by Western Digital, I don't know if you know but underneath all hard drives are made my a few manufacturers, and I noticed today that all the hard drives on my computer are by them, including the internal one it's had from the start, except the one that's given me problems twice, which is made by Maxtor. Even that one's been pretty good though, working perfectly for a long time after it first screwed up until the power cut. I've got most of the stuff off the old one onto the new one fine, and I'm now running a thing that takes a long time that might get some or all of the rest off. So I'm happy enough.
So it's getting dirty with Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton. And people are starting to say that Barack's just a very good motivational speaker devoid of any policies. I don't care as long as it's a democrat, really. Hell, even if a republican gets in we will probably have a less evil regime than the current one. Not that I believe in evil, but you know what I mean. A less dangerous and extreme one. Less fanatical.
The sadly missed Ivor Cutler was born eighty-five years ago today (15 January 2008). I'd give you an mp3, but I can't get at one just now. Remind me in another five years.
See you around
