I've been reacquainting myself with a king of snacks today. You will need - nice bread, margarine or similar and cheap crisps. Take two slices of bread. Spread margarine on in the standard margarine manner. Put a packet of crisps on one of the pieces of bread, close the sandwich with the other piece and squash it down a little. Enjoy. You may need less than a whole bag of crisps, it depends on the nature and quality of the crisps. What do you think? Pretty damn good, huh? But there's more. You are free to use cheap multi-packs of crisps even if they include vile flavours like salt 'n' vinegar, as the bread and especially the margarine neutralise the nastiness and render them edible! Everyone's a winner!
I've had no more correspondence of a Polonium-210 kind, so hopefully they've given up trying to set me up, and bookings are up a little although still pretty poor, especially during the week. I did have another business proposal, this time from a Chinese textile company, but it didn't really appeal to me. It is reassuring nevertheless that my reputation as a truly gifted businessman is still intact and that people can see past the unfortunate problems my restaurant has been having, but these people should realise that one of the biggest parts of success in business is being good at choosing which offers to say yes or no to, it's not that someone who has done well with the projects he has taken on has magic powers and could make them lots of money with some crappy idea they have. Not that I'm saying their textiles are crap, but they don't grab me, I had no indication that they're a new paradigm or that they're even pushing the envelope. Sure if I was motivated to I could do some heavy branding and shift some quite reasonable units but I don't like doing that much work, frankly. And if I'd been a success by hyping the mediocre ironically I don't think I'd have impressed them to the extent that they'd contacted me! Still, I wish Wujiang Wanlida Textile co. all the best, and hope they get over the little problem that a lot of people on 419 scammers seem to have been sending almost identical emails to people claiming to be from them. It must make it very difficult for when propositioning top businessmen like me, a lot of the less astute ones will assume that those, too, are scam spams, when it is sometimes simply that their reputation has spread far and wide. Oh well, they should know that there are no problems, only challenges. And what do we do with challenges. We rise to them! If you got that right give yourself a sandwich.
See you around
