I had to take my daughter to Jimmy Chung's today - I made the sacrifice of eating all the yummy food. Well, two plates full. "All I can eat" is not horrendously vast, but I enjoyed garlic squid, crispy seeweed and volcano mushrooms amongst other things. I wondered where the prawn on chicken toast idea came from. Our Jimmy Chung's is made currently more attractive due to a local price war at the moment, although dinner is still more than twice the price of lunch, so three cheers for the free market.
On the suspension footbridge over the river someone has written 'THE WHISKY WORKS' at both ends, facing the pedestrian proceeding west. I always hesitate to report such things lest I be feeding an attention-seeker, but hey, you've got to take risks and this life and perhaps I should reward the better ones. Yes, that would be one of the better ones, believe me, I see some crap.
I looked at the news on the North Devon Gazette in the hope of bringing you an update on the situation bet they appear not to have had any news today. I assume it's not a daily publication. Nevertheless I will try to remember to watch for further developments.
See you around
