Hello everyone and happy Saturday. I'm taking it easy and not worshipping Saturn or anything. Is that what you're supposed to do on Saturday? I don't know, I'm probably a little out of touch.
I watched Derren Brown on Channel 4 last night - he just gets more and more amazing - I don't think there's any point me saying any more about it, you have to watch for yourself I think.
Oh lovely lovely Saturday, lovely lying around doing not much. This column is taking longer than normal due to the sedate pace of the day. Oh, I must tell you, I was in a chip shop a few days ago (this isn't a confessional but anyway...) and there was a noticed saying that the sausage specials were now £1.50. And why were they now £1.50? 'Due to a price increase.' I love that sort of uber-informative explaination - it reminds me of the time I was on a train out of Glasgow Queen Street and it was terribly overcrowded due to being shorter than normal. And did they give an explaination, you ask? Oh yes! 'We apologise for the short running of the blah blah blah...' Why? I'll tell you. 'This is due to an unavailable at Queen Street.' Huzzah! And I didn't even know that unavailable was a noun! Thank you, I feel better now!
Anyone interested in Donpen-kun and cats will love this link. I can see you all rushing there now. Furthermore if you click the picture with the real cat on you will see that they have some very nice things for cats. You might want to remember that if you're ever in Japan. With a cat. I bring you all the best information don't I? Well that's because I CARE. Oh yes.
Now we come of course to tonight's television viewing. Doctor Who at 7 on 1 features Simon Pegg and Tasmin Greig, but you could watch it tomorrow instead if you really want to want to see Porridge which starts 10 minutes earlier on 2, after the nazis. Or the documentory on Ivor The Engine and Smallfilms which is on BBC4 at 7. Damn. At 9 Men & Motors has The Sweeney, The Sweeney, ner-ner ner-ner NER ner-ner ner-ner, and BBC4 has a documentary on The Magic Roundabout oh so conveniently situated at 11.25-12.25. BBC1 has Beyond The Poseidon Adventure ar 11.45 - that's got to be terrible surely.
See you tomorrow!
